Living for the weekend
I gotta go grocery shopping again but since I'll be on vacation next week I'm only gonna buy enough food for the weekend and I gotta buy the nephew some nukowave dinners since his cullinary skills stop at toast. Since I'm gonna eat probably a little unhealthy next week I'm planning on chicken and fish this weekend with assorted veggies. Squash, broccoli and green beans sound good. Ooh maybe some asparagus...mmm I love asparagus! If it's nice this weekend I might go play tennis again. I have some work to do in the yard as well.
Well since we are expecting 100% chance of rain this week-end, I don't know how the exercise plan will turn out; I may have to depend on good ole reliable exercise bike and some light exercise rountines (I found a good Dr. Oz 20 minute workout on Oprah's website).
I also have a research paper due for my Master's class that I have procrasinated to the last minute on, so got to work on that. Soooooooo....I have got to stay on my pyramid eating program and try to resist grazing this weekend. I'll stop by the grocery store this pm and get plenty of fruits and veggies so that if I get the stress eating thing going on, it will be fruits instead of chips or cookies. I have stopped buying things like that, my 15 y/o daughter hates it, but we have decided that it is better just not to keep it in the house. If any of us deserve a special treat we go out and get it.
That's my plan. Now to stick to it.
Hiya Neecee,
Well, it's pouring outside right now, and we have a chance for 4-8" of snow today! LOL So I think all my plans will be indoors.
This weekend's going to be fairly low stress for me: lots of basement painting and housecleaning probably. I worked really hard at weight loss Monday - Thursday this week, so I've already met my next Monday's goal. Therefore, no pressure to work hard at it again until Monday when I set a new week's goal. :-) So Fri/Sat/Sun will just be a single treadmill session for me each day. (I want to finish two more hours of Continuing Medical Ed today.)
Grocery shopping was yesterday, so I'm all re-stocked on bottled water, bagged salads, protein bars, South Beach wraps, and frozen dinners. ;-) I can hibernate all weekend in cold avoidance. LOL
I'm only one pound short of a normal BMI now, and with my history of self-sabotage around milestones, I'm trying to keep everything very stress-free over the next week or two.
I'm not posting this to make you guys jealous, but I've only got 5 days left of a 'normal stomach diet', so I'm heading to taco bell, ordering chinese food, maybe some japanese tempura, pizza and whatever else hits my brain. As of Wednesday of next week, I'll be on nothing but liquid protein, pudding, yogurt, and soup. Four items will consume my diet. Pa-thetic. I'm nervous, guys!!
Oh wow, I wanna go with Janina for the weekend!!
Don't stress, you're gonna be fine! Look what you've already made it through in your journey and it took longer. Unfortunately, I'm not gonna be here to keep your endorphins swimming and keep you on track this next week so everyone else will have to take up my slack but I'm positive you'll be fine! I wish you the best of luck and whatever else people say to those who are about to do something really hard!
You guys need to come to Cali where the weather is always nice. Well not always. It is so dry. We have only had 2 inches of rain this year. All the lawns and trees are brown and dead. The wind blew so hard here yesterday is was scary. Power is out all over. Not mine though. HE HE HE
Actually it is too crowded here already and I hope to leave in the near future. The crime, gangs, traffic, immigration etc. are really getting to me. My husband was born in Cuba and is a citizen there so I love me some latin people but I would say that 75% of the jobs here in southern Cali require you to be bilingual. Just when I think I have found the perfect job I find out I have to speak spanish. Unfortunately I don't know a lick of it. Well I know a few bad words and a few lovey dovey things my hubby might whisper in my ear but that is it. Almost all jobs that serve the public require bilingual empolyees. That sucks. I've tried to learn spanish but I just don't get it. Oh well. I will clean house and take the kids for a bike ride this weekend. Maybe read my spanish dictionary a little bit.
Hi Mamanay
Yup, raining up here in northern cali, too! Guess i will have to do housework, although I had hoped to do carpet cleaning - it is pretty ugly, but i'll have to deal with it a few more days. DH and I will spread manure on our garden - how romantic, huh!
Now, it's gorgeous and green up here lately, but NO JOBS HERE! We get a number of so cali "escrow refugees" who sell down there very big, can buy a house pretty cheap comparatively, but then they can't find jobs. Or have to be able to make it on retail jobs, part time at that. Like two jobs.
DAMN i wanted to do a big bike ride today. We need the rain, but still, stupid work gets in the way all week long.
I will be good. I have not weighed in for two weeks now and need to get a reality check.
