Your name fits! hahah You're insane for trying that diet!   I'm just wanting to binge just thinking about it! lol  Good luck and I'm sure you'll do great on it. Everyone who I've talked that has done that diet  has given it rave reviews about it's success. They all say it wasn't as hard as they thought it'd be.  Personally, I think they're lying to me! :)

Hi Mama! Welcome and keep coming back! OB-viously, this kind of approach is a jump start. At some point, you'll be back in the ring with the rest of us dealing with real food.   I hope you will give it your best shot! I know several people who certainly have successfully started their weight loss journey by this. I know exactly how you feel about needing the jump start - i recently went to a bariatric doc after years of not moving that stupid scale. I took app suppressants, bascially the same thing, at some point I will have to drop off and get real again, too. I am doing WW now, trying to phase into more like real life eating.

I did a medically supervised Medifast liquid diet years ago - lost 100 pounds in 6 months. I never cheated, and once I got into the rhythym, it was easy. However getting started and into the routine is very difficult - the shakes are not wonderful tasting and it is boring. However you'll find you'll have tons of time on your hand because making the shake and eating takes a few minutes. DH and I both did it, almost everyone else in our group dropped out within a week after cheating - so you need to be very strong to stay committed in the beginning. Within a few days you go into ketosis and loose your appetite and interest in food. I still cooked for my kids and it never bothered me. Afterwards, I was weaned back slowly onto regular food. I kept the weight off for two years without any problems - until I got really sick and everything went to hell in a handbasket. I could never go on this diet again - tried but just can't do it. Wish you luck with it. Skylar

Thank you so very much to everyone for their support.   Skylar I realy apppreicate your feedback a great deal.  I am 3 days away from my appointment and I have so many mixed emotions right now.  It helps so much to know that it can be done.  I just don't want to be one of those drop outs.  I hope my body hits a state of ketosis and I loose my appetite.  The thought of not being hungry seems unimaginable to me since I feel like I could eat 24 hours  a day 7 days a week.
