Information needed on Zeta Cap ( gastric bypass pill )
Hi :) I am new to this site. I was told today by my Dr to consider gastric bypass surgery. In my online research I came across several sites about a gastric bypass pill called Zeta Cap. It is suppose to fill your stomich up, as if you had the surgery and reduce your eating by 70 - 80%
Does anyone have any information about this diet pill? I need the information as soon as possible please. Much Appreciated :)
It doesn't work. It's just fiber. It mixes with the water in your stomach and gels up. What they are counting on is the substance not leaving your stomach in 30 minutes, thus making you feel more full when you actually go to eat. Plus, think about it, you can do the same thing by drinking a glass of water right before a meal. It too will fill up your stomach and when you eat you will feel full much faster. You can also slow down eating and drink a mouthful of water in between bites and do the same exact thing and spend a LOT LESS money. I also question what effects the gel/fiber will have on your digestive system. -edit- I said above that it doesn't work. I think it would work but I think it's hardly worth the cost considering there are other alternatives such as water itself to do the same things. Don't believe any of these fad diet pills. They're all aimed at your emotions and they all claim things they really can't achieve for you. There is no miracle pill or cure out there. Not even gastric bypass is a cure. It's just a tool to help you. This site is a great place to start learning about gastric bypass. I also advise attending a seminar on the subject. Check with your doctor, he may have a surgeon he can refer you to who holds seminars or perhaps the hospital itself does. What other diets or weight-loss plans have you tried in the past?
