My experiment....
Hi Christa,
Finding our own way has to be the hardest thing in this journey. I got tired from reading your post because you are really working hard at this and it made my head hurt from trying to figure it all out. The clinic, nutrients, etc....all confusing. But we've all been there, trying to figure it all out. You said you lost 2 pounds in the week you are speaking of. Do you realize that even with WLS patients the end result is a loss of perhaps 2 - 2 1/2 pounds a week, all cumulative. I remember when I first started losing and I was calculating. It was like 7 pounds a week, then down to 5, then down to 4...and you get the idea. The longer I calculated the more my body fluctuated, kept weight, lost weight, evened out, etc. It's all a cycle. It will be 21 months since I started my journey at 352 pounds. On the morning of my plastic surgery last week I weighed in at 210. I still learn every day what makes my body tick. I will always be learning. What I have learned above all else is that the program you choose has to be a lifestyle change that you can live with. If you can function day to day and lose weight slowly and safely, you'd be surprised how quickly the benefits add up. Good luck and I hope it all falls into place for you! Donna
