The only "safe" restaurant in my book is Japanese or Thai food. The rest are pitfalls. I could eat Mexican food like every day, and Italian, it's the tomato sauce/beef  thing for me apparently. Pasta, rice, tomatoes and beef, i seriously could live on that. And cheese and bread. LOL DH and I make a fair amount of Indian food here at home, and true Indian cuisine is vegetarian and lowfat (or adaptably so).  We have a lemon grass plant out back, plus like four kinds of basil, so we also like Thai.  DH is not into veg eating - yet - but I am turning him over slowly.  When we travel, it is our home style ethnic cooking I miss the very most.  Good article.  WW has a similar link on the various adaptations of restaurant foods. I just read it - bet they stole it from this same link!!!!

Nice article!  I love ethnic food.  Mexican, Indian, Italian and Japanese are my favs. I think I like mex for the cheese and tomatoes. Always good! You all are already familiar with my mexican addiction though I am a little more at ease after seeing this. Indian I love everything about it including naan!  Love tandoori chicken too!  Fortunately looking at this site it appears that Indian isn't the worst choice I can make.  My only problem with Indian is portion control. Most indian restaurants are buffets in my area. :(  I'm surprised at how healthy japanese food is. Of course they didn't show you hibachi chicken with the shrimp sauce poorded all over it!  All in all it's about making the healthier choice and eating less while still enjoying and not depriving yourself of your favorite foods.  I can do that!  I can do that exercise thang too, jis****ch meh!

Speaking of your exercise thang, joggin is very gratifying, and dude-like, too.  Should ring your man-bell.  I loved it.  These days, I can't seem to get it off the ground - just lost my religion with joggin (in my case, it was more like fat-wobbling).  I will say there is no other exercise that comes close to making you feel high. I liked that article about starting out too.  That is the hardest thing, to keep your pace slow.  Every time I would listen to some runner snob (you know who you are) and try to go faster, i would get discouraged.  i don't exactly own a runner's body, never will, never did.  I ran 10k's alla time, 5k's alla time, one half marathon, very very slowly, but wtf, i finished.  i got over my ego and quit listeniing to other people on how fast i should be going.

I are pride of u.

w00t! I love ringin my man-bell! That sound so cool! lol  I agree!  I'm gonna do it at my own pace. I'll get there soon enough.  I used to do martial arts as well and that required a lot of cardio and running. It was very gratifying. I loved it.  Perhaps I'll pick that up gain when I get in shape. Plus it rings the hell outta my man bell!  Aww, me thanks ya!
