The weekends are usually a challenge.  How are you guys going to survive this one? I will: walk Saturday morning for one hour journal my food. Sunday, take DH to airport - 6 hour drive. Take bariatric foods with me, but we will stop for one restaurant meal. I'll be good and order an eggwhite omelet.  Eat one piece of toast. Home from airport:  go for a long bike ride

That night, eat leftover bean soup, some bread.

Hide those %$%$#^ girl scout cookies or give them away before I'm alone with them.

So sorry about the loss.  Times like this are when we have to really stay focused.  Stressful situations are hard for me.   The exercise will help.  It is nice and cloudy here so I think my kids and I should go for a walk or bike ride.  Where do you buy your bariatric foods? How do you know what to get and how much to eat?  Do you work with a doctor or nut or have you done your own research?  Do you stay full on these foods?  I ate a banana and a bowl of Total cereal for breakfast.  I have some strawberries to eat later.  Dinner will probably be a chicken salad.  Have a great weekend and go give your neighbors those cookies.

Hi mama! Thank you for your post about my FIL (for those who missed it, my 87 yo father in law passed yesterday).   It was funny, now that you mention it, I did stress eat when I got home with my DH.  The good news is I have my WW 35 points to use up anyway this weekend, so my little mini-implode did not do too much damage.  I haven't done stress eat in a while now, so it was kind of a surprise. I was present, thinking, okay every bite you eat here before supper takes away from what you get later. I'm just in slight turmoil on should I go...work...money...stuff to do before we go on a major ass vaca next week...my sweet sister in law who sounded disapointed when I said I may not come up...ya know?  Still sorting it out, i may still go, screw the money it will cost. I'll just put it out for God to help me with. Yup, cloudy up here on my end of Cali, too.  But nice, really.  I did that walk, and washed my car.  The bariatric foods:  I get from the bariatric doc i saw august - Feb.  His webpage is carbessential.net.  I go the store here in town.  I buy the cappacino, that is breakfast most days.  I buy the peach mango drink (80 calories, 15 g protein) for afternoons, i get the soups, also 80 cals, plus soy chips from that office.  i typically grab a few drinks that you mix right in the bottle just to toss in my desk. For the most part, i get my protein bars at Costco:  the premeir bars, cut those in half, have half in the morning, the other half later.  I also get the whey protein powder there.  Then, i cruise Safeway, raleys for micellar milk, odwalla bars (hi pro only), atkins bars, etc.  i try to get all that on sale. I bought some unflavor soy powder at GNC, and that's my other breakfast:  1/2 c oj + 13g soy powder + 2 teaspoons psyllium husk.  Eating one of the above choices every couple hours - USUALLY does it for me hunger wise. There are "those days", when i have to add in some veggies. I have a rat race job, always running off, always at meetings way too long, so having this stuff in my briefcase just does it for me. I also travel a lot, and those that do know there are not many good choices on the road!  I am always hungry for supper, by then, I have snapped, tired, pissed about something.  i like th days when I can then jump on my bike before supper or walk a bit, but that does not always happen.

I'm really sorry about your loss Neece.  It looks as if he lived a long life. You will be in my thoughts and prayers!  For this weekend, well currently at this moment I am at work, doing som  Over time! But later my ex who I am friends with still, we are going out to dinner. This is the first time going out to dinner since I started dieting, so I will make good choices, maybe a salad or a chicken dish with veggies. Then I will walk a little later afterwards. Sunday, if it is nice in the morning I walk then later in the afternoon I will end up going to the gym. Sundays are my lazy days I like to sit around watch movies and jsut do nothing and relax. But i still get my exercise in. :) Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!  ---Christa

Weighed in: 305lbs  (lost 5 more!)   Weekends are so hard!  My schedule is all out of wack and you'd think I'd cook more but I never seem to. I also miss my snacks therefore making me really hungry at lunch/dinner. Saturday:   Exercise -  Shoveled large mound of dirt, logs, trees from front yard (where city didn't pick it up) to the back yard separating the logs from the dirt, etc.  Moved the shrubs and small trees that I dug up a few weekends ago from the back yard to the front yard to be picked up.  Trimmed some low hanging branches with the chain saw. Turned on the sprinkers (which I forgot and left on for like 3-4 hours OMG the water bill lol) Breakfast - Had a low-carb breakfast bowl from Hardees of which I ate half. Lunch: Had a chulpa, 1/2 spicy chicken taco and one regular taco (taco bell..)  Also had a monster lo-carb energy drink about 1.5 hours before lunch. Dinner: Can of tuna seasoned with thyme, basil, rosemary, celery salt, salt, pepper and a touch of garlic. Used a tablespoon of exta virgin olive oil to moisten it. (MMmm this was sooo good.)  Had a pack of raman noodles to go with it.. (wish I had not done that because later I got hungry)  Had a can of chicken noodle soup at 9pm. Sunday: Went shopping with the wife for about an hour today but other than no exercise as of yet. Overslept!!!  got up at 11am. Breakfast - mouth saliva, drool and possibly dust ??? who knows!! Lunch:  15 forkfuls of Peluza (Chicken, bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, spanish rice and cheese.)  1 handful of chips with cheese dip and salsa. Dinner:  Feeling kinda wrong about mexican so I'm gonna have baked fish, green beans and maybe some squash.
