The PMS Fairy has Come to Visit

Hey all,      Well, it's that lovely time of the month when I wake up feeling like a water balloon. LOL  The mystery to me is how I can weigh exactly the same as I did a few days ago, but feel and look like a bloated tick.....  My abdomen gets all "poofy" and starts to look like I'm in early pregnancy for a few days.  I've never in my life taken any kind of medicine for PMS symptoms, but I'm getting to the point I'm seriously considering it. :-)  Of course, it's fun to drop 2-3 pounds magically over a couple days when my period finally starts, but I'd much rather have a regular and steady loss than this "retain retain retain...drop it all!" pattern I seem to have every month.

That's good that you stayed the same. I usually gain when it's that time....blah which is oh so coming up soon. Tale some Pamprin I believe that works the best if you do consider taking anything for it...it takes away the bloating and everything!

Yeah I'm with Sunset - I gain at least 4 pounds when it's time to leak.  I'm jealous that you stay at a steady weight.  It'll be over soon.  You'll make it!!

Yeah, you are lucky - I get that nice bloaty feeling AND 3-5#. I will usually drop it plus some, if I've been extra good. But ya know how that goes. I also have more of an appetite just beofre my period. I've learned to just allow myslef more food, and try to choose fruit when i feel hungry at this time. I am nearing age 50...and i am *that close* to getting something for my moods and all of this myself.  I may beg my gyn to take this stupid thing OUT. It's not like I need it anymore. I'm sick of the mess, the moods, the wholel thing!

And I had an easy one this month...just got done. I feel for you - go get a hot bath.

Heya all,      Yeah, I get the increased appetite and intense cravings when I hit the PMS roadblock too.  For the last 2 days instead of eating my usual Lean Cuisine in the early afternoon, I've been craving pudding.  Not sure why cause I'm not really a big pudding eater.  So Saturday lunch was an entire box of SF/FF butterscotch pudding ( 280 calories) and Sunday was an entire box of SF/FF pistachio pudding.  I need to quit doing that cause that stuff has virtually no nutritional value except for the skim milk that goes into it.  It's like eating a big bowl of synthetic pseudo-food! lol      And thanks for the Pamprin recommendation.  If I don't get my period within the next 24 hours, I'm going to try some.
