I am pleasantly pleased. I'm calling it one pound loss for last week, close 'nuf doncha think?  Not bad for being out of town, from Thursday night - Saturday night and not much exercise the past few days (for me). I was over points (3.5) for the whole week. That would have been eradicated over a normal week with my regular exercise routine!  I would attribute much of my success from: 1.  not having dessert while away, and cutting way back on the bread.  2.  Skipped the breakfast muffin plates.  3.  ate only half of a croisannt sandwich (only a quarter of the croissant, actually, plus all the filling,     which was turkey/avocado), ate 2 bites of the potato salad 4.  Chose grilled shrimp pomodoro while others had deep fried fish 5.  Chose baked salmon roulade, rice, grilled veggies 6.  stuck with my home packed bariatric foods plus any fresh fruit that was offered as snacks.  7.  Walked whenever I could in the airports rather than sit 8.  Had one day of official exercise Saturday morning - 45 minutes of wogging, some ab stuff. I was NOT perfect:  I had blue cheese dressing on a endive/pear salad (worth every mouthful!) and beer 2 nights! Also last night, i had a cup of low carb ice cream (2 servings!) with nuts on it. I am out of town Friday 3-2 til next Tuesday - Washington DC! I'll be a good girl - will be walking lots, no desserts.  I may get access to puter time here and there. I'll try to poke my head in!

Hiya Neecee,       Yay, for losing while your routine was being interrupted!      And I must admit, all my salads have regular Caesar dressing on them.  Fats have never really been a binge trigger for me, so they're a safe place for me to squeeze in some extra calories safely.  Anything that can get me to eat 5 veggie servings/day is an acceptable trade off.  :-) Julie

I basically share your view on fats - in fact, i "blame" most of my weight gain on the Pritkin days - eating almost no fat caused me to feel hungry alla time. So I ate! I try to keep it down to 30-35% fat every day, sat fat under 10%.  I can't afford the calories, so that's the main reason I kinda watch fat. I'd rather bulk up with lean proteins.

Thanks for your post!!!!
