Regarding the Sabrina thread...

One more thought on that discussion i neglected to include: I did want to say that I bring up the rather dire success rate of doing the old fashioned way not to depress everyone. What that does for/to me is to not be so hard on myself when i do stumble. Gee, if ONLY it were THAT easy to simply eat less and move more, huh? Knowing many others have the same struggles helps me not give up. Do I get down about all this? You know that answer; as a perimenopausal woman, this is sucking like I never dreamed (a lesson in there for you 30 somethings to get on this now - it gets only harder from here!). But most of the time I ask believe and wait to recieve that my efforts will pay off. Thanks!

Neecee, I don't think anyone's intent was to depress anyone. The one thing that all of us know about the non ops thread is that it's supportive and drama free. We all have opinions and respect those opinions and are able to express and receive them in mature manner. Neecee you are working so hard. Good things happen to good people like yourself. Also, have you thought about see a nutritionist? Once I started seeing one, I have seen much more progress. My problem was that I wasn't eating enough and not enough variety. Be Blessed

Thank you Cammy!!! What is funny is...I am in the child nutrition business. I am very aware of, have regular training in science based nutrition! I am not an RD, but I bet I could pass a test to be one if they allowed such things! One of my colleagues is on the cutting edge of nutrition studies at UC Davis, so she gives us all regular updates on all of this. variety is also my challenge - most days my veggie servings are way down. But i roll forward, and the days pass. I have abused my body from years of binge/purge, and that is truly part of why I am here now. Plus, in my family, we all look like me- brick walls. Stocky farmer types. I try hard to take all of this into consideration. You help inspire me. Thank you so much!!!
