Intragastric Balloon

I heard Dr Joya does the BIB or Intragastric Balloon ...anyone heard of or know anyone on any of the OH boards that has had it done? I skimmed around and didnt find any. Thanks and have a nice evening. Vicki

I don't know of anyone who's had it done, but I have heard of it and am interested. I was under the impression that it is only being performed in Europe, not yet in the US at his point. Is this what you've also heard? Sabrina

I had a balloon fitted on 25 December 2006 in Marrakech Morocco - I am doing really well - I had a quick recovery and have lost 24 pounds in less than 3 weeks. Balloons are great! Very Easy - with no special diet the weight is falling off!!!! It only cost £1000 in total. Go for it - It's much cheaper and less dangerous than surgery. Good Luck Angela
