Newbie
I had LAPBAND surgery on 3/1/2006 and unexpectedly had to have it removed on 12/1/2006. I went from 347 to 269. However, I am now so depressed that I am afraid I am going to gain it all back. I had to pay for this surgery on my own and can't afford to try again.
It seems just when something was working, it was jerked out from under me.
If anyone has any words of wisdom, I could sure use them now.
Hi DeAnna,
Keep your chin up, your success was from hard-work and determination...not from the surgery alone. I'm just curious, what happened with the band?
The important thing to remember is you learned how to eat and you are still on your way to improving yourself. I know its a depressing time for you, but with support from us and determination, you will be ok! Don't let food be your crutch. Try taking walks with friends or hit the gym and keep in mind the body you want!
Keep in touch and hang in there! YOU CAN DO THIS W.O THE BAND!

Welcome Welcome!!!!! Continue all of the great habit from the lap band days!!! Don't get discouraged!!! Keep up the smaller portions and the excerise!!! God bless you. May you keep losing!!!!!
Hi DeAnna.......
Welcome. Congratualtions for being here.
You seem to have lost lots of weight (way more than I can imagine, I have even started yet.)
Don't worry about not having the band - make believe you do still have it & keep up the good habits.
You can do this, lets just stick together.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Good luck.
