The new issue of People magazine!
Hi everyone!
Well I was a little bummed this morning when I weighed in because I gained a 1/2 lb. this week, and I tried really hard to watch what I ate and how much I exercised because of the holidays. Anyway, I'll just work a little harder this week!!!!!!!!
I picked up People magazine this afternoon and they have some great weight loss stories in there. AND, everyone in the magazine lost weight WITHOUT surgery. Talk about inspiration. Reading that article gave me the little boost I needed to not feel sorry for myself or be upset about a 1/2 lb.
Hope you have an opportunity to pick it up. I know you'll enjoy it. Happy New Year!

I lucked out -- I picked it up after my WW meeting this morning. I buy a copy every time People brings out this issue. They are truly inspiring.

I fluctuate 3lbs on any given day. I weighed 7lbs more the day after Christmas than I did the day before, lol, so I know I had entirely too much salt.
Now that it's a new year, I'm back to watching my salt intake. I try to limit it to under 2.5 G per day, otherwise I'm uncomfortably bloated.
Try not to be bummed over the 1/2 lb. because it may just be water retention. And, thanks for the People info - I'll definitely check it out.
Take care,
Juli
I got the issue in the mail and I am THRILLED when they come out with these issues. I am always inspired by these people and their great success. I was reading the story about the woman who broke the arm on the plane and had to wait until the plane mechanic fixed it. I would have died! I do very similiar things while on a plane. I'm grateful I still fit into them, but uncomfortably! But can you imagine the arm breaking? I felt like dying when I broke 2 chairs. The first one was at my 22nd bday when it was the folding chairs that are made of weak materials, I twisted the wrong way and snapped the legs in half. I was sooo embarassed. The other time was a wooden chair...wood! I was so embarassed that my husband took the blame bc it was our roommate's chair. I noticed I'm afraid of chairs! Thats a weird phobia. Even when I stop by the station, I felt a wiggle in the wood chair and was terrified I was gonna break right thru. When did I get to this point? So sad...
Anyway, back to the winners! That woman on the plane overcame and lost a ton of weight on her own. She is amazing!
