I Have Returned to Onederland ...

... after a 16-year exile. I needed 3.2 last week and got 1.8 and guess what ... I got the 3.2 today!
I will never forget going to my pediatrician in the spring of 1990 for my college entrance medical exam, seeing him write 202 on my chart and then add, "Overweight but otherwise healthy." I will never forget going through college and the work world in a 200+ (and later 300+) body. I never intend to cross this bridge again!
As speechless and happy as I was at that meeting, I cannot help but be sad that so many people in my life (mom, grandmom, many relatives and friends) are no longer with me and were not able to see my progress.
I cannot thank the members of this board enough for their support, especially last week, when I just *knew* it was going to happen.
My next goal is to no longer be obese -- about 29 pounds to go. As soon as I am able, I will post a new photo for general viewing.
May you all have a safe and blessed holiday!

Thank you for your well wishes!
As if today couldn't get any better, just for fun, this afternoon I went to my attic and pulled two of my prom dresses (from the late 80s/early 90s) out of storage. Believe it on not, they both fit -- even though I have some serious hips now, LOL!
About six years ago a "friend" told me that I would never wear the 1991 dress (purple, short, custom-made) again. I would love to see her while I'm wearing it and make her eat those words.
that is AWESOME. what a great holiday gift to yourself! i hope you have planned some great non-food related reward. maybe a spa day is calling to you...
i decided that when i got below 200 i would finally check into laser hair removal. random, i know. but i did it and its how i remember hitting onederland...

Hi Andrea,
I really want laser hair removal. May I ask, what area's did you have done, how many treatments did you have, was it done through your PS & are you happy with your results?
Thanks,
Juli
i had two sets of three treatments each to my chin area (so 6 total). its definitely improved as in less density, but not as much as i would have liked or expected. i guess i need to get a few more treatments, i just haven't motivated myself to find a place where i live now (i had it done when i lived in chicago). it wasn't a PS, but a medical doctor who ran a laser center. my current PS does have a woman who works out of his office that i might try going to.

Congratulations Dee!!!!
Didn't you have a goal/rewards list for yourself? What was the reward for "onderland"?

I need only 3 lbs more to be at 125 lbs lost -- my reward will be diamond earrings! Very excited and will be checking the papers for sales.

Dee, I'm thrilled to have read your story and to see your fabulous progress. I'm especially thrilled because I've just started my journey and I started at 327 pounds - to see that you have broken through to onderland gives me such hope that I'll get there too! That's a great acheivement, congratulations.

Dee,
I am so proud of you! I have about 20 pounds to go to hit onderland (I love that name too!) You are such an inspiration! Thanks for posting that. It really makes me want to get my butt in gear and push myself harder to reach that goal as well. I so want to be there with you in that hundreds club. Thanks for the motivation!
