Curves gym
Hey
Has anyone had any experiences with curves? Do they have trainers?? I am actually looking for a personal trainer. My DH bought me plenty of gym equipment in our home. Since I have the rqupment would it be pointless to consider curves? So, what I really need to help in figuring out what works for me. I called one gym that has a trainer and they want 200 a month I would have to remove my son from daycare to afford that. Which I guess wouldn't be bad since they had daycare there. But I have a special needs child and he can be a handful.
Anyway, could you share your experiences.
Thanks!

I have been a Curves member for three years. I must admit that I was not always as faithful about attending or about changing what I eat -- which is why I gained 10 lbs my first year. When you first sign up one of the staff members is supposed to guide you each machine on the circuit.
Most Curves offer a free week before asking you to make a commitment. They don't so much have "trainers" (as many at my Curves were actually members first) but they offer a lot of support.
I think the equipment would be a good idea if you're in the event that you just can't get out of the house.
Please let me know how you make out.

Well when I mentioned it to her, one of the things I remember her saying is that if I'm going to get it done, she wanted me to come home (mississippi) to get it done by a good friend of hers( Dr king of Oxford, Ms). My mom has been in the medical field for over 30 yrs. She has made some really good friends and when it comes to major surgery, she perfers I go through those she knows. She never said don't do it, but she perferred I'd go thr lapband route.
I researched both options and really couldn't bring myself to do it. Next thing I know, my mom has a personal trainer and she went from 220 to 170 in less than a yr. We were about the same size and I was like wow, she did it. My mom had pretty much always been in shape but due to an illness that required her to go on a steroid, she gained weight. Her dedication inspired me and here I am.
I said all that to say, she felt indifferent I guess. She never said do or don't, BUT if you are, I want you to call Dr King.
