Well here I am, too successful at dieting, darn it, cant have wls, couldn't have the rny due to surgical restrictions of prior surgery, so the appeal process took so long,19 months, and they still turned me down, But medical science in the mean time they approved a new drug for diabetes that cause weights loss, byetta, that works very well for me, that caused me to loose 35 lbs and knock me out of qualifying of any wls surgery. still have my other six comorbids, and 65 lbs to go. so I will join you non ops for help on loosing the other 65, or if tricare decides to go along with medicare and approve the ds i may gain some weight, back here I am.

Hi Walter, Welcome to the non-ops board. Being too successful at dieting is not a bad thing, is it??? And we don't call it dieting here, we call it a lifestyle change. Come here for support and tips on what many of us have done to shed weight and become healthier overall in our lifestyles. And please don't gain weight to have another WLS surgery. If you have diabetes that is only going to hurt your body by making it go up and down with yo yo weight!! Welcome again Donna

Welcome to the board! I started moving on my own just to bide my time before starting the surgery process, but I have since realized how attainable this is when you are focused. Much success to you!
