Man this board has been DEAD... It's probably for the same reason that I haven't been around... no progress... no progress means we don't want to talk about it, am I right??? Anyways... still holding at 154... Actually, I have to admit, I gained about 5 lbs and lost it again in the last two weeks... UGH, I hate that. We'll see where I stand next week for the wedding... wanted to be in the 140's but I don't think that will happen unless I crash diet... and I'd rather not do that... Oh well... get back on track, guys!!! We need that comradare back!!! xoxo CJ

I'm right there with you, CJ. I plateaued for weeks, dropped to 171 then DH was off for a few days & I'm up 3lbs. I know it's from salty food because I have rings around my ankles when I take off my socks but I'm still disgusted. These last few pounds are driving me insane! I've still managed to drop a pants size though even though I'm bouncing around the same few pounds. I keep track of my inches every six weeks so at least I'm making progress even though it doesn't feel like it. I can't wait to break into the 160's. We shouldn't be so hard on ourselves though, either. Look at how far we've all come. When I was at my highest I would say "If I were under 200 lbs that would be it for me, I'd be so happy!" Now that I'm there I'm still not entirely happy. Truth be told, I don't think I'll ever be perfectly happy with it. I guess I'll settle for contentment. Does anyone else play these mind games with themselves? Instead of being happy and accepting their successes, just looking to the future & focusing on the final goal? I hope that made sense. I'm still downing my coffee so I'm not fully awake yet!

I can relate! I remember when I got down to 105, and was disappointed because I wore a size 8 instead of a size 6! How dumb can you get! Denise Phares

hi CJ, The board has been dead. I have been doing the same thing I've been doing for the past year. As Lynette said, pretty much the same food and same workout, so boring. After my nut debacle I haven't been eating nuts again, at all. After "losing" so much weight after the nuts, and finding I'd dehyrdated myself on the trip home from NC, I was at 211. I knew that number was ridiculous because I was dehydrated, because the week before I had been at 224. When I rehydrated the next day it was a more realistic and then settled in at 216. So that was a 3 pound weight loss from the week before. So I definitely broke through the 220's, thankfully. And then right after that I got my period. So I haven't been on the scale, no sense in freaking myself out again! I got for my third PS consultation on Tuesday!!! Donna

I am actually completed shocked to say i'm at my lowest weight in more than a year - 158. Yes some of that was sucked out and cut off w/ my thigh lift, but truthfully I've never lost any weigh after any of my other PS procedures. Plus I've been sitting on my butt for the past month and not eating as consertively as usual. This week I've had coldstone, pfchangs, indian food, B & Js, and a wegman's cookie. Everyone wants to take me out and I don't say no. Eating kids sizes and the healthier dishes on the menu but still. Lesson confirmed: everything in moderation. Usually the day after indian or chinese, i'm up 5 lbs from the sodium. I don't know what the deal is. This change in events has made me think though about the way I do things. I normally have a huge issue with snacking. I rationalize that this is okay since I workout a ton and it will equal out. I think I've unconsciously not been snacking as much. I mean I still eat after dinner, but not at such a manic pace like i was before surgery. I am also drinking less water, which I think accounted for my HUGE fluctuations in weight. They do say you can drink too much water and maybe that was my case as well. Or maybe its just the change of pace. We know our bodies adjust so easily, which is why you're supposed to change up your food and exercise pretty often. I had been stuck in the same routine for at least 9 months. Everyone told me i should change things, take a day off from working out, try yoga etc but I don't like change and never did. Surgery has forced some changes. Lesson learned: change might not be such a bad thing. andrea p.s. had my tofu noodles again last night w/ spaghetti sauce and it was awesome! probably better than when i made it with stir fry. yay!
