? for the Ladies
Hi Margaret,
I can't speak for all gyms but I happen to belong to one that has all ages and sizes. I went there regularly when I was 350 (helped me from being 450!!!!) and nobody ever said a word about me. I have been a member now for 4 years.
When I see a heavier person exercising I want to cheer them on!!! I can't imagine anyone having an issue with overweight people at the gym.
Just keep your head up high and know what you are doing is for your health and will make you stronger in all ways.
Good luck.
Donna
Hi Margaret !!!!!!!!!
Welcome to the board !!!!!!!!
I want to applaud your efforts !!!!!!
And sweetie, we all have to start somewhere......
There are all size's at my gym and at gyms everywhere......
We all are at different levels and you work at your own pace, and you do not worry about other members......
Just do not stop !!!!!!! Please do not stop !!!!!!
Do your own thing !!!!!! The payoffs are super rewarding
Again, welcome.......

Hi Margaret! I just started working out at the YMCA about a month and a half ago. Usually I am the biggest person there, but I don't get treated any differently than anyone else. I too was embarrassed because of my weight but once I started going and saw how much better I feel, it is very well worth it. Hope this helps.
