If you just had the operation it's probably the gases trying to escape. While it passes quickly, I have known people to have this pain for up to 4 weeks (and a few a little longer).
Walking and heating pad is great. Helping the gases escape (read between the lines) is another great way to reduce the pain.

I suggest contacting Michael L. Sakowitz, Ph.D. is a psychologist (NJ 35SI00148700) and member of ObesityHelp's Mental Health Board. He’s located in Wayne NJ. No matter where you are, I highly recommended going.

My shoulder is really hurting and now the pain is going into my neck. Any ideas? I am walking and using a heating pad.

Chuck, I don't think I can make it, but can I just say that I am SO proud of you for doing this. You are doing fantastic things and this is just the beginning!
