I had my surgery July 2010 and I've lost 65lbs. I've had 2 fills in Dr. Washington's office in the beginning and now He's gone. I am not crazy about the dr that took His place. Any suggestions? Also; does insurance cover these fills after the 3mos after surgery?

For the first week, following surgery, I was on clear liquids, no protein, so by the second week when I was up to milk, it tasted really good....until recently, now I am back to drinking clear protein to supplement protein intake. Have been drinking Isopure apple/melon flavor. Its not awful.
Special K also makes a powder that can be added to water. It comes in strawberry/kiwi and pink lemonade. Its pretty good, but only has 5 grams of protein in it. But it helps.

Just a wee bit emotional the past few days as my RNY surgery approaches. Funny I wasn't like this before my Realize Band surgery.
This time I will be out for 6 weeks so I'm looking forward to not rushing the process of healing!!!
Making my list and checking it twice to make sure I have all the proper pills/meds I will need for after the surgery. Getting all my alotted liquids this weekend for the next week or so.
How are all the recent post ops doing??? Any words of wisdom from the Veterans???
I know I'm in great hands, I have the best surgeon in the world!!!!! :)
