Topic: RE: haven't shown myself here in a while
Hi Roberta!
I, too, am getting back. I was looking to have WLS in 2007 & lost my insurance so once again I just got it back and am trying to move forward as quickly as possible. I remember you had given me such great advice and when I came back on last week I was looking for you. Would you say that you and your husband remain fairly stable weight wise after all these years? Nice to see you again!

Topic: surgeon fees and insurance pay out
hello
i'm 7 weeks out from rygb performed by Dr. Brolin @ UMC Princeton on jul 12, 2010. Still not back to work yet, and starting to worry about finances. but, that's another story.
i have horizon blue cross direct access. Dr. Brolin is an "out of netwrok" doc for me, but was the best choice for my precedure. I am begining to appeal my insurance payment, and I need some back up info from everyone.
What was your surgeons fee?
What did your insurance pay?
What did your insurance consider the "customary" or allowable fee?
any other financial advice is welcomed!
thanks!
Terry

hi gang
been away for a while -- probably a couple of yrs -- no excuses and i should really find time to get back here -- still love my decision to have WLS -- it's been since 11/22/06 -- i think of many of you often and wonder how you all are :) so i guess i'm just trying to get back into the habit of posting and sharing
thanks

It is natural to hit a stall... your body needs time to catch up to all the changes it is going through.
You may also find that increasing your intake (sticking to the protein first mindset) will jump start your loss again.
Good for you with the 5K... I have done several... mostly walking with a little jogging... GO FOR IT!

I am doing well my friend. Without a computer, so getting on and viewing/answering is more of a chore than usual - but if that's the worst of it, I'm ok with that !!
Good Luck on your Journey !!

Begin by monitoring what you are doing.....track both food intake and exercise. Souds like you have a lot going on and might have gotten a little sloppy? No judgement here just a thought.
The next step is to change something....I know, easier said than done.
Good luck
