I would love to join all of you on the 26th.
I'm only 3 weeks since surgery and have enjoyed the process to date and really enjoy going to my Doctor's seminars and this site. So the more people I meet who have had it done and support each other the better.
Do we just show up or will more info be forthcoming?

Topic: Finally surgery tomorrow..
So many ups and downs but the day has come..I am scheduled to have my surgery tomorrow. Just waiting on the time. Unfortunately, my sister who was supposed to be with me had to fly out of town to my brother who was in critical condition in Miami, Fl. He is stable now and doing a little better but she will not be with me. My 20 yr old daughter and my 12 yr old son will be waiting for me durring the surgery. Of course I worry now about them worrying about me. So many mixed emotions right now. It's been a long journey. I've been waiting for this for 6 yrs..wish me luck and say some prayers for me.

First, congratulations on completion of your training and your willingness to lead a support group. I'm not very far from you, in Wayne. This is the very beginning of my journey .. RNY is scheduled for Monday, September 27th. I'd very much be interested if you manage to put together a local group.

Hi Everyone: I just finished all the training to become an OH support group leader and was looking to start a group. I had Lap Band surgery in October 2008 and have been at goal since January 2010. I was hoping to have a group either online or in person. I leave in the Bergen/Passaic county area. I was hoping to share my journey with others and have others share their journey with me.

U r right about the body letting us know when something is not right. I have been having some pain around my stomach and I just told my doc. He ordered an abdomianl sonogram, but b4 I spoke 2 him, I was ignoring it. I thought it would just go away, but after 2 weeks I decided to tell my doc.

I know what you are talking about. As I sit here crying over my husband death. Maybe if he had gone to the doctor he would be with me today. He use to tease me about going to the doctors all the time. I wish he went to the doctors before it was to late. Listen to your body. You may be saving your life.
