Mom is home already...

Hi All - Mom is home as of 5:30 this afternoon, we did not expect to see her until Monday. I saw her in the hospital around noon and my dad brought her home this evening. Doctor thought she was doing so well, he released her. I bit of congestion, so I am diligent with her breathing treatments and she is sipping her Ispopure. Her belly is sore, but her incisions from the laproscopy look good. We were unsure of how to work in her water consumption. She is sticking with the jello, Isopure, broth, etc for the next few days, but how often and how much water should she take in. Do we avoid it for 30 minutes prior and after "meals" starting immediately? Thanks all again for your kind thoughts. Marianne and Sam

Hi Sam, and Marianna, I am so happy you are going great. Dont worry about how much water at first, just know that you do not drink 30 minutes before or after. The rest of the time just sip along as you feel, sipping the water and the isopure is the right thing to do.Isat next to your Mom at the toms river meeting.Tell her to keep her chin up and dont panic about the food and water. See you on the first Friday in May. Nancy

Chip that is awesome! You have such a long way to go for June 20th. Just keep up the protein and water and I bet you will see what a difference that is going to make! I am so happy for you, only 20 more pounds to be at goal! That's awesome! Keep up the hard work! Shelley

Chip: Good to hear it is moving again! Mine has started to move again, too. I was holding at 225 and this morning I am 220.5 and below 222 for three days. I was never a scale watcher, but, I think weighing and recording weights is essential to maintaining progress in this process. I have never set a goal but 195 lbs sounds good to me! Keep up the work, and it is work.... Steve K 360/221

I'm happy to hear that your "stall" is over. The slow weightloss has been a little worrisome for all of us lately. You look great and I'm sure you are feeling great too. I'm 8 pounds from my one year goal of 180 - puts me out of the obese category. I'll need to lose about another 40 after that. Keep up the good work. Dawn340/188/who knows?
