http://www.njbariatriccenter.com/ My doctor is Ajay Goyal. He was very nice and so were the staff in his office. The office is in Union or Hoboken. He performs surgery out of Overlook Hospital in Summit. I am four 1/2 months post op. If you would like to chat you can reach me on IM at spygirl0507 on yahoo or AIM. I'm Diana.

I just had surgery with the wonderful Dr. Elliott Goodman. He operates out of Holy Name hospital in Teaneck. What a great place, and a great staff. Dr. Goodman is one of the few surgeons who can reverse the procedure in an emergency. He also used a new material on my incision to strengthen it to avoid getting hernias. I love that he is on the cutting edge. He accepted my Out of Country insurance no problem. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Goodman and his practice. Sidney

Hi, My surgeon is Dr. Bilof, 973-325-9779. He has been wonderful. I am 10 days post-op and his care has made a difference. The staff at St. Barnabas was also great. I hope this helps you. Ana

Hey Joe, My Surgeon is Dr. Capella, Ramsey NJ. He is amazing! He has been doing the surgery for over 25 years...one of the pioneers. Has done over 7000 surgerys! His stats speak for themselves! One of the lowest complication rates in the country! I drove 2 hours to see him-well worth it! Just make sure you do your research... Good Luck! Jaime

Now that you are really confused with all of our opinions... My surgeon was Dr. Pasupathy in Bridgeton. His number is (856)451-7533. I had my surgery May 25, 2005 and he has been amazing. He has a great success rate and does a modified open proceedure. Leaving only about a 5 in*****ision. He is very conservitive and does not rush you from stage to stage of recovery/eating. I met with three other surgeons before I found Dr. Pasupathy. He was for me the best choice. Good luck with your search. Shaun

Hi Joe! Are you confused yet? Take your time researching your surgeon, you must feel confident with him/her. There are a lot of great doctors in NJ. Go to their seminars and support groups, hear what they have to say. Most of the time you can meet the surgeons at these places. Good luck on your quest and keep us posted!! ~Kristin
