New Lakewood NJ Support Group Info

Hi Gang (PLEASE NOTE that I still am firming up the APRIL meeting date, I will do that today and post back) In regards to the New Lakewood Bariatric Support group, an offshoot of the Toms River OCWLS Bariatric Support Group.. I promised an update, and here it is: For the new THURSDAY meeting mid month, in OCEAN county at the Center for Healthy living (on the grounds of Kimball Medical Center).. We will be meeting the THIRD thursday each month, at 7pm (I have to confirm this months day, for sure for April, but on an ongoing basic thats the ticket -third THURSDAY at 7pm : ) The address and directions are below. This group is part of, or an "offshoot-Extension" of the group that meets at Community Hospital the first Friday each month at 7pm The TOMS River Group meets on April 14th this month @ 7 pm, Community Hospital, Route 37, Toms River. As for the LAKEWOOD New Group....This group is open to EVERYONE... -not only The seriously pre op -not only The seriously post op -not "only if you have a surgeon" But this group is for all of the above ! E-v-e-r-y-o-n-e -its for those post surgery -its for those Pre surgery -its for the neighbor,- brother,- sister,- father, -mother, -daughter, -son, -best friend -twice removed -second cousin to -aunt ethel.... and anyone else that is interested in bariatric surgery, information, support, referrals (we will be building a list of professional therapists and health care people to direct folks to). This group is for YOU. We want to be a support and resource for anyone interested in talking about Bariatric surgery, be it for information, for fellowship, for support, or to just check out enthusiastic people enjoying learning and growing together. Jack Martin and I, acting on a lead from one of our Toms River group members, met with a RN from Kimball Center for Health Living (the new location) a couple weeks ago, and thats when we secured the site for ongoing meetings. We will be distributing flyers at the TOMS RIVER meeting @ Community Hospital at 7pm on April 14th. (the flyer will have a map, and directions to the location) (the email version of this will also have a map or my name is not Timmy Ray) I am trying to set up a free blood pressure screening, and we will have access to a VCR and TV for media sharing, and discussion. At the new site where we will be meeting, Its a HUGE room, and they are kindly giving us the space for free, so its a great opportunity. Parking is secure, well lighted, on site, and right next to the entrance to the conference room where we will be meeting. The new location is about 2 or 3 blocks off route 9 in Lakewood on the Kimball Medical Center Property. Its a seperate building on the Kimball grounds. From Western New Jersey (Trenton Area): Take Route 195 East to Exit 28. Take Route 9 South to Lakewood. Pass Lake Carasaljo on your right. From Philadelphia International Airport: Take Route 95 North to the Walt Whitman Bridge exit. Take the second right for 295 North to Route 70 East. Take Route 70 East to Route 9 North. At the third traffic light, make a LEFT onto Prospect Street. The Center for Healthy Living is past Kimball Medical Center on the left. Follow signs for parking.
