Hi, I made it! Yippee! I am sore and tired but I made it through. Thanks for all the support. I remembered all your words as I went in and during my hospital stay. Dr. Bilof was the best and the staff at St. Barnabas rocked. On the losing side.... Ana

Dr. Bilof & Dr. Nusbaum (my surgeon) are the *best*! Hope you didn't eat the green Jell-O at St. Barnabas - I *still* have nightmares about it Welcome to the losing side! P~ "Life is too short to wear sensible shoes!" "WWCHD?"

Hey Ana welcome back. The worst is behind you. How was your stay? Did you wake up with a drain and the nasogastric tube? Goodluck and I hope you will have a speedy recovery.

I had no drains, and if I had a nasogastric tube, it was put in after I was sedated & taken out before I woke up. P~ "Life is too short to wear sensible shoes!" "WWCHD?"

Hi, There are so many people in the OR that things move really fast. The last thing I remember is the oxygen mask being placed over my face. After that it was waking up in the recovery room. No tubes, just a major backache. No complications. I just have to inject blood thinners for ten days just as a precaution. I just took deep breathes and thought about all those who had done it before me. It really helped. Ana
