Hey Kristin -- glad to hear you guys are coming down to our "neck of the woods." How are you doing -- drop me a line. Are the groups more informational for pre ops or is there a post op portion too? Nannette

Nannette....you are beautiful as ever!! Are you finished with all your PS? I just had a consult today for my breast with a Dr. Rosen in Montclair, what a wonderful surgeon! Actually it is nice being in your "neck of the woods" I have a sister in Brick so we can spend time together before the meetings! Plus it will make it easy in the summer when I'm at the beach LOL Our meetings consist of both...we have 2 rooms one for the (45 - 60 min) "pre-op seminar on GBP & Lap-band" and our support group. After the seminar most people join us in the support group room. Dr Mehta is available at every meeting for questions (which I think is absolutely wonderful, not many surgeons are willing to give their time to support groups). Maybe we can meet up again soon! ~Kristin

Thanks for the compliment -- yes, I am done with all my PS surgeries now -- just had the last minor revision last week. I'm doing well -- Dr Capella did an awesome job. I actually had my eyes done by a Dr Michael Rosen in Toms River -- could it be the same Dr in Montclair? I was actually planning on using him for my face, breasts and arms and would have been happy doing so, but Dr Joe gave me such a great price, and had done such a wonderful job on my LBL, I couldn't say No to the savings! I hope to be able to join you at one of your post op meetings, and see you too. Monday is absolutely doable, and I will announce Mehta's new group to my OCWLS group when we next meet in March. I know that I have several of his patients there, as well as others who would welcome a mid-month group. We usually meet the first Friday of the month at Community Medical Center in Toms River at 7pm, although March and April's meetings have been pushed to the second Friday because of hospital scheduling. Hope to see you soon! Hugs, Nannette

Yes, I will admit Dr. Joe is awesome! I am happy with my lbl too but he did not want to do my lift and implants at the same time. That is why I went for a 2nd opinion. Dr. Rosen felt that my breast tissue was great enough to do both at once. Different Dr. Rosen's, the one I have just seen is Allen Rosen with the Plastic Surgery Group. (www.psg1.com). He was recommend to me by one of my clients. I was very impressed with his credentials & office. He also does charity work for Heal the Children, (a charitable organization which helps children from around the world who need reconstructive surgery). Although I did have a friend that told me she dreamt that she was coming into a lot of money and she was going to fly me, her sister and herself to Dr. 90210 in California to get our breasts done!! Maybe I should wait and see if that comes true!!! LOL We had a good turnout for our first meeting down here. Even though I get nervous getting up in front of people and talking (you would think that after 3 years it would be easy for me, its not! LOL) I just love it, being able to help and work with patients and their friends/families. I look forward to meeting with you again and hope that our group is an encouragement to others. I also thank you for letting your group know about us. I wish we had a group closer to me that I could just attend! Anytime you want to get together to swap resources let me know...I love to network! See you soon! ~Kristin

Absolutely would love to swap resources -- let me know when next you are going to be in the Ocean County area and we'll plan something. Better yet, want to join me this Friday night in the Highlands for some dancing? I'm getting a small group together to go hear Jody Joseph & the Average Joes at the Claddagh in the Highlands Friday, Feb 24th! She is the cousin of Jon Bon Jovi and has a great band -- I'm a big fan of hers -- very rock n'roll chick with a voice that is a cross between Joplin & Ethridge. Let me know. Hugs, Nannette
