Ok, this Superbowl really messed me up! I am a little over 7 1/2 months out. I am losing beautifully, with a total loss of 120. I have about 30 to go to goal. Anyway, I don't know if it was the superbowl party that did this, but I have been on a FEEDING FRENZY for about 24 hours now. I don't know what to do with myself. Ladies, I also think this happens to correspond with my upcoming "cycle". UGH!!! For some reason, my pouch seems to have been made bigger than most to begin with. I haven't worried about it, because I lose about 10 pounds a month. Sounds good to me! But now that I have been oinking out, I am sorry I have such an easy time. I have been able to eat anything since early on. Not one incident of dumping, vomitting, NOTHING~ I ate chips and a lot of veggies yesterday. (Well, with DIP of course) Looking back, it wasn't as bad as all that. Today, however, I had cheerios for breakfast, then a soft pretzel at "snack time". (I am a teacher). I subbed for the 6th grade and the teacher had "FAT" food ALL OVER THE PLACE. Everywhere I looked, there were bags and bags of candy. I ate 3 pieces of this "fun taffy". I love that..and I guess 3 is better than 4, but STILL!! Then I had a ham sandwhich for lunch, along with a banana..and a little bit of applesauce. UGH!! I want to scream. Anyway, I know that only I can prevent my PIGGING OUT, but I just don't get how after months of excellent behavior, here I sit! Head shaking, and stomach swelling. Any words of wisdom would be welcome! Thanks all! Rossana 334/214/???

Rossana, You have done great and momentary lapses are to be expected, we are human. Just pick your pieces and try to get back on track. My downfall was the holidays. Getting back on track has been tough but I am trying everyday. Donna 330/190/150

This is normal to feel scared and out of control. Try to take the focus away from the "eating frenzy" and how scared you are by that and try to think of how every day since your surgery has had the focus on good healthy food and how GOOD you will feel to be back to your NORMAL way of eating. You can do it! Irene

Rossana, Welcome to "Club Normal" lol We have all gone through what you are going through now. Try not to focus on the "bad" and what you did yesterday or the day before. Treat each day as a new one, a truly splendid gift we all seem to take for granted. Everyone needs to eat and enjoy what they eat everyday. In moderation, we can eat everything as long as we are following the "rules". My secrets to wls is: Protein First Drinks lots of non carbonated caffeine free sugar free beverages Eat balanced meals (protein first, then green/yellow vegetables, then fruit, then starches) Take your vitamins Attend a support group Good Luck to you as you continue your journey!! ~Kristin
