Hi Everyone, Not sure I've ever posted here before but have been on OH for the past 3+ years. I need to find a nutritionist here in NJ - preferrably near the Mount Laurel, Cherry Hill Area. Any suggestions? I have ins but everyone I call says they don't help those with eating disorders? LOL Thanks! Jen

My surgeon is 2 hours away from where I live. They have a nutritionist but with a full time job and part time job no way for me to get out there regularly.

I have not gotten feedback regarding how she treats patients with eating disorders. http://www.cooperhealth.com/content/NutritionServices.asp This is the nutritionist who my doctor uses, I have not seen her yet. My appt. is next Fri and I'll let you know. Barbara Skinner MS,RD,CDE (609)877 0400. Let me know if you find someone.

I live in Lumberton and I use the dietitians at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees. Lynn Nugent works with people who havce had or who are contemplating WLS. I have been diagnosed with Binge Eating Disorder-To tell you the truth, I found working with a therapist was more beneficial than working with the dietitian on this issue. I am in school to be a dietitian now, and I think that we have practical eating information to give those suffering from eating disorders, but I feel that it takes a mental health therapist to get down to the central issues that cause eating disorders. Good Luck
