Protein??????????
YES IT IS BUT MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE ISOPURE ZERO CARB. THERE ARE TWO OF THE ISOPURES AND YOU DON'T WANT THE CARBS. I USE THESE DRINKS AS A MEAL REPLACEMENT AND HAVE BEEN USING THEM FOR THE LAST 6 MONTHS. TRY ALL THE FLAVORS-NOTHING VENTURED NOTHING GAINED. BEST OF LUCK IN YOUR JOURNEY AND REMEMBER
" LOSING IS WINNING !!!! "

Hi Evelyn,
Have you mentioned the difficulty you are having with your Dr. and Nutritionist? EVENTUALLY - protein drinks should be used to supplement your protein intake, not to be a meal replacement. It wouldn't hurt to give them a call to discuss.
As far as an alternative to shakes - you could try INSTONE pudding - you can get them at GNC -- Phil and I think the Choc. / Vanilla and Banana are just OK - but we like the lemon.
Good luck to you!

I drink the Isopure drinks. I couldn't stand the shakes anymore and needed a change, my doctor suggested it. I love them! A little "shocking" at first, but what I do is I add one packet of Equal to the bottle. Seems to do the trick. They are good, just make sure you don't drink them too fast. Take the day to drink the bottle. Too much protein in one shot won't get absorbed into your system. Good Luck!

Evelyn,
Here is another idea - Skim Milk - 8 oz = 8 grams of protein. I take my vitamins with it every morning.
Also - the only protein drinks I like and I have one of either of them every day, are 2 of the Nectar flavors - (found at The Vitamin Shop, or ordered on line from Bariatriceating.com)
The Nectar Lemon Tea is great when made with Crystal Light Peach Tea.
I make a pitcher of the Crystal light - the fill a 24oz squeeze bottle with the tea, I add a scoop of the Nectar Lemon Tea - shake well, then add ice cubes to fill. I shake and squeeze it into a cup until all 24 oz are gone
(at my desk at work) This is 23g protein + 24 oz of water/liquid - I LOVE it!
The Nectar Cappucinno Latte is my new Favorite - I use the same bottle, but fill it with 8 oz of skim milk + a scoop of the Latte mix - then shake and add a few ice cubes - This is 23g + 8g = 31g protein and I really enjoy this.
My husband doesn't care for the taste of the Nectar products - and likes the Isopure Apple Melon powder. I on the other hand do not like the Isopure products and Love these 2 nectars. Remember -everyone's tastes are different - so keep trying to find one you like.
Good luck,
Sherri
