I have officially reached a normal BMI as of 12/27/05. I wiegh 177lbs that makes my BMI 24.6. which for my hieght and wieght is in the normal range "18.5 - 24.9 Normal" . I had my surgery 3/3/05 starting wieght was 315lbs as of today which is 12/27/05 i wiegh 177lbs that is a total loss of 138lbs so far. My goal wieght is 150 so i have about 27 more pounds to lose to hit my personal goal of 150. I would even be happy to get to my bodies ideal wieght of 143lbs at the lowest. Congratulations Tyshea I've following your journey and everyone else on the message board after I was approved for my surgery. I had mines on Halloween 10/31/05 and was weighing 289lbs. I have now lost a total of 60lbs I feel great still not really eating like I suppose too but I drink my fluids and take my vitamins I make sure I put something on my stomach like yogurt. Dr Asha Bale from the University Hospital in Newark was my surgeon. She has support groups once a month here at the hospital there's one tonight with a dietician so I can't wait to see everyone because the last time they saw me was two weeks before my surgery in October........I don't even look the same my daughters tell me wow mom u look so different I could'nt really see it until I looked at my driver license and other recent pictures. I just got my b12 shot yesterday the Doctor gives me one once a month and I'm also taking the biotin pills for hair I was told about that before my surgery it prevents your hair from shedding soo much after the surgery so I started taking those 2 months post-op. and my hair is growing. Well tyesha take care and stay blessed fellow WLS member Joanne Cuttino Caldwell (newarker)
