Call the office and check with your doctor. Some docs let their patients eat solid food int he hospital and others keep patients on a liquid diet for a week or more. Best wishes to you for an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery! Irene

i can only tell you what i had at home..clothes for comfort--.sweatsuits pajamas slippers sneaks, food to eat or to sip rather ------broth sugar free jello bottled water crystal lite protein powder, vitamins and supplements----flintstone chewable vitamins or centrum chewables and caltrate chewable calcium tablets, this was my regimen for about 3 weeks then onto the full liquids..my liquid regimens were long..my stomach wasn't tolerating a lot....but those couple of items in the beginning of my response are good to have handy just incase your stomach gets sensitive to things..keep them on hand they will keep you full..

Dear Rosa, Good luck on your up-coming journey. I found that sf jello, sf pudding, and ice pops were the best. I STILL after almost 6 months have a protein drink almost every day. Campbell's beef broth is the best; hot and salty and very flavorful. Wonton soup (NO WONTONS YET!!!) the broth is great and crystal light, snapple, and water, water, water!!! See you next week on the losing side. Betsy

don't forget the protein.. carnation instant breakfast was a good choice. skim milk or lactose free skim milk, broths, jello and ice pops.. I know it's winter but even today.. I eat them.. they make your tummy feel good.. best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Rosa: Dr. Nusbaum was my surgeon & both he & Dr. Bilof have a detailed booklet you should have received that outlines your choices post-op. P~ "Life is too short to wear sensible shoes!" "WWCHD?"
