I'm 6 weeks out from my bypass surgery and haven't lost weight in about 10 days. Getting very down, don't know what else I can do, still only eating 4oz meals- HELP--need advice!

Hi Louise... It seems to me to be very early to hit a plateau at 6 weeks but I am not an expert... Assuming you are STRICTLY adhering to your diet (not snacking, not drinking with your meals, etc... ) 1. I suggest you call your nuitritionist in the morning... even go and see him/her if you can 2. Our fellow OH'ers keep referring to a "Plateau buster Diet" that I copied below... Hope it works for you. Neil www.gastricbypasstips.com Plateau buster diet How to break a plateau #1 - Do this for 10 days to break a plateau #2 - Drink 2 quarts of water a day #3 - You must have 45 grams of protein supplement and all your vitamins/minerals supplements each day #4 - You may consume up to 3 oz of the following high protein foods, 5x a day beef pork chicken turkey lamb fish eggs low fat cheese cottage cheese plain yogurt or artificially sweetened peanut butter beans/legumes You may also have: sugar free popsicles tea or coffee sugar free soda sugar free jello broths/boullion crystal light drinks #5 - If it's not on the list, you can't have it for 10 days!!!! #6 - Keep a food diary and get up to 30 mins of exercise daily

I think you are fine... Just stick to your plan... Your body is catching up that is all.. we all go thru this from time to time.. don't obsess about the scale.. look for body changes, you will notice them and then one day you step back on the scale and there is like 6 lbs gone.. you'll see. .just keep doing what you are doing...
