Hi Jen,
You've done awesome and should be very proud of your success.
I wish I could say the same this end. I know I have done good but I don't feel like a success. I regret having not taken measurements prior to surgery or pictures, that would have been a good reinforcement for when I am feeling not so successfull.
I am almost at the 200# mark starting out in april at 330#. I now wear a size 16,18 depending on what it is having started out at 26,28,30. WOW and I recently bought a bra in size 40.... now that was a wow... and not to purchase in a womens size store is awesome but yet I don't feel the success... why I don't know.. I now I am smaller but when I see me I still see the big woman..
Even a man I work with at my part time job who didn't know me before my surgery told me I looked great when he heard from someone there about my surgery and it was funny because he was checking me out and trying not to look obvious...
What changes we have been thru this year... I can't wait to see what 2006 will bring...
Have the most happiest of Holiday's Jen and rejoice in you success as I will trying to also.... I know it's there.. I just have to realise it..
Donna
Donna, thank you for your response. You are being too hard on yourself! I think you are a great success, 130 lbs. in 7 months? That's amazing!!!!!!!!! I know about the circus mirror syndrome too. Isn't it funny what our mind makes our eyes see? Just rejoice in the fact that there is 130 lbs. less of you, you are hopefully feeling better physically and the mental part will eventually catch up. I am now at 185 lbs., must have been retaining water from my Thanksgiving meal, and feel sexier than ever. You'll get there!!!! Now is the time to really get active, if you haven't already. I joined LA Fitness and love having 1 - 1 1/2 hrs. of me time 5 days a week. It certainly is helping with the weight loss and I actually can see arm muscle definition coming through!!!!
I wish you all the success in the world and also wish you a glorious holiday filled with family, friends, love and lots of laughter.
All my best with lots of love and hugs, Jen Davis from Piscataway
