strange twist of fate....
Hi all,
I was scheduled to have my surgery on 11/2 and it was postponed for further pre-surgery testing. Well a CAT scan I had cleared me for the problem the gastroenterologist was looking for, but they found a big ol' mass on my left kidney. I saw a local dr. about it and he scared me with his "way to laid back" approach. So I saw a great Doctor at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in NYC yesterday and I definately have ot have surgery to remove the tumor. He thinks 50-50 chance it is Cancer. And may have to remove the whole kidney... Won't know till surgery. So the whole WLS surgery is on hold for now. Have to take care of this problem first. Small possibility I may be able to have the Bypass surgery at the same time they remove the kidney tumor, but not sure yet. That would be crazy!
So this whole thing has been a wild ride and it is not done yet! Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive. It really does help!
