I am looking forward to having the surgery. I hit a bump first time out - my primary physician does not believe in the surgeries. She is an older doctors and feels that eating smaller portions will do the trick!! I have an appointment with another primary physician as I will no longer use her for anything. I've have met with my surgeon and now have to have my test done in the next couple of weeks. Please wish me luck.
Good Luck Rutha,
As Jen said don't lose hope!, keep the faith! My PCP didn't and still doesn't agree with WLS, but he knew how serious I was. I show all of the research I had done and he finally said .... ok... (with such a concern tone in his voice). Keep persevering (sp)
Bea.
P.S. I'm also in Newark
feel free to email me.
Dear Bea,
Thank you for the words of encouragement. I will continue with the journey. I have 2 brother and sister-in law that successfully had the surgery and my daughter had the surgery last year because of the family history of diabetes. My husband is paralized from the chest down for the last 4 year due to infections in the blood from the disease. He was only 51 years old at the time. I just wished he could have had this surgery, just maybe things would be different. thanks again. How was your journey?
Hi Rutha,
My Journey is still taking place, I am still making doctor appts. I will see the nutritionist and psychiratrist on Tuesday. I have Aetna and they are not easy when it comes to getting an approval. If all goes well WLS should be January/Feb.... I am sooooo ready!!!!!
I'm going to need all the support I can get, no one in my family is in agreement, not even my husband....
Have a Blessed Day!!!
email me anytime,
Bea.
