Stomach pain

Hi, I had gastric bypass 7 months ago. I have never had any problems or complications. Over the weekend I started feeling a burning pain after eating, just below the pouch. It got worse when I would lie down and the pain literally shoots to my back. Went to ER and they did cat scan and don't see anything. Dr. suggested I have an endoscopy to see if anything else is happening ie. ulcer. I just want to know if anyone else experienced this and what the outcome was. Millie

Dear Millie, I'm sorry to hear that you have been having pain. That's no fun!! I went to the ER once with terrible gas pains, but at the time I didn't know it was gas. The pains were up high, under my right ribs. Felt as if someone was stabbing me. Your pain doesn't sound anything like that though. I believe your doc is doing the best thing for you though. An endoscopy would be the best way to look at everything in color instead of guessing on an ultrasound, x-ray or cat scan. I hope you get an answer soon and that your pain goes away!!! All my best, lots of love and hugs, Jen Davis from Piscataway
