Hi all my NJ friends! Just wanted to share a new picture of my hubby Phil and I that I put at the bottom of my profile. I also moved a copy of an old photo below it to compare - WOW - it's funny - I find it hard to recognize either photo of us. It's weird how I don't remember us looking like the "old" us - and can't believe that we look like the "new" us either. It's very confusing! I am on the brink of an official 100 lbs loss since surgery, I feel better than I have in a long time. I think I'd like to loose another 40 lbs - and see how I feel. I can wear a size 12/14 - (from a 26/28) but still feel like I should be shopping in the Plus Size section. I really try not to shop for too much, since I out-grow it so fast. (not sure if out-grow is the term... more like they out-grow me!) I actually put my clothes in the dryer now, and hope that they shrink!! When I hold up my pants, or iron them - I still can't believe they are mine! My hubby Phil has recovered fully from his emergency surgery at the beginning of August and has been back to work for a few weeks now. He had blood drawn this morning, and will go to his regular Dr on thursday for a check-up. He is staying between 158 & 162, and is happy with his weight now, and feels great again! He just went shopping today for some new clothes and now wears a men's SMALL! - from a 3X! He has lost 142 lbs! It's just so unbelievable!! Take care everyone! Sherri

Sherri, I went into your profile to look at the recent photos of you and Phil...Congrats!! You both look like different people, the same but different, you know what I mean???? I am so glad that Phil is doing so well and back to work. I, so far can only dream about being in the 150's. I am almost at 100 lb. loss, but I want and need to lose more than 100 lbs. We all are in the Dr. Abkin fan club, is he not the BEST????? He saved my life... Sherri, when did you guys reach your first plateau? I'm at five months and been playing with a lb. up and a lb. down for about 2 1/2 wks now. I have increased my fluid and protein intake so I hope that does it...Any information or suggestions would be appreciated. Keep up the good work ...Do you attend any of Dr. Abkin's support groups? I was thinking that maybe we will meet face to face at some time. Take care, Fran P. (NJ)
