Need your input:RNYs and DS'!!!
I hope to be having WLS in the near future. What surgery did you have? What advice do you have for me? I will be having my first consult in 3 days and want to know what questions I can't forget to ask!
Thank you SO much for your help!
Sincerely,
Christina
P.S. Does everyone have an endoscopy, does everyone have the barium test, does everyone have an epidural???
Hi Cristina -
Laproscopic RNY here - for both my husband and I. No endoscopy, barium test or epidural for either of us. I believe it all depends on each individual Dr.
One important question you should ask is how many of these surguries has your Dr. perfomed? Also, how long has he been doing this surgery? What if any complications have his patients experience.
I do not have any info on the D.S. but keep asking questions.
Good luck!
Sherri
Christina, your doctor taugt her doctor and all of the nj how to do the rny and just about all of the doctors on the east coast how to do the rny, as we spoke before, you would want a edoscopic exam to know that you have a health stomach, ulcer free, and pyloric bacteria free,(causes ulcers) epidural, who cares. barium, not required, thats covered in the colonoscopy, which is also a mater of good health maintence.
