EXCITED AND NERVOUS

I WENT TO MY FIRST APPOINTMENT LAST NIGHT. I AM NOW SCHEDULING ALL MY TESTS SO THAT I CAN GET APPROVAL. I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE ABOUT WHAT TO EXPECT BOTH PRE AND POST-OP. FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME. I'M IN CENTRAL NJ. THANKS, DIANA

Im going through the same thing now with my tests and soon as i see the nutrionist on the 31st of Oct. i have to wait and see if i get appproved for surgery on Dec.20th. Diana. This is the beginning of the ride of your life. I started my process in August. My very first consult appt. was canceled and rescheduled for 3 wks later, 8/29. I got my echocardiogram done the next day. I got my psych. eval done the following week, and the week after that I got my sleep study done. Everything came in and they called me to come back on 10/18/05 to see the surgeon to schedule a date. OMG, he gave me October 27th. Girl, that's next Thursday. So, strap yourself in if your process goes anything like mine. I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone. today, 10/21/05 I went for preop testing and now that's it. Now, not all people have this result. It really goes according to how fast you can get those tests done and how fast they get the stuff into the insurance company. My advice to you is to not delay in getting those tests scheduled. Do whatever it takes to get in and get them done. The faster you get them done, the faster the office can submit to insurance, and girl.......I don't know what kind of insurance you have, but if you pay a premium, I bet it's high $$$$$.
