Stuck in the house, but not in the FRIDGE!!!
Hey all,
Ok, this rain is really out of control! I was laughing earlier at how I would have spent my time in the house PRE-SURGERY. I know that I have the cleanest laundry in NJ at this point. I have never washed, dried and folded so much as I do these days. I must say, I am not drawn to the kitchen like I would have been before. I am proud of myself. I even remember the weeks at weigh****chers when the weather was like this..or snowy, everyone would have a weight gain. UGH!! The good old days, huh! Well, not any more!
The bad weather still binds me to home, but now I am cleaning, crafting, crochetting, playing with my daughter, coloring, etc.. I never realized how much I was MISSING by spending so much time in the FRIDGE! My little one loves to bake, so I have done some of that. Even then, I am not drawn to the sweets. Amazing. I know that a lot of this is the "brainwork" that we all have to do. I know I have worked hard to change habits..I am sure we all have. Well, now we are being tested and coming out victorious!!
I just thought I would say, I have had enough rain, but at least the sun is still shining over my SCALE!!!
Stay strong and stay dry!!

Good for you When I read posts like yours, it makes me even more anxious to get my WLS. It sounds like you're doing an amazing job. I don't get my surgery until January, and at this point I'm trying to not gain for the moment and hopefully lose a bit before January. Funny, you might have the cleanest laundry in NJ, but I think I might have the cleanest closets. With all this rain, I've been on a cleaning binge, emptied out all the closets, boxed up tons of stuff for goodwill, even built some new shelves in my basement in the workshop. I'm doing all this to try to keep my mind off food. I'm looking forward to the day when I won't feel so hungry all the time. After all the hard work, and damp weather, every inch of my body was sore. I went to the aquatic fitness center this morning, and sat in the hot tub for 30 minutes (it was extra hot today& I love it like that) now I feel like a million bucks..all the aches went away, at least for the moment.
Take care,
Laurel
