Help! Has anyone had a decreased motility test and still proceeded with the lap band?

I am scheduled to have my lap band on Oct 24, however, I was just told that I failed my esophogeal monometry. My motility test reveals a 30, which is below normal. The Surgeon states I can still have the lap band , but I may develop problems in the future and it may have to be removed down the road. I am wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem, and did u proceed with the surgery, and how did u do? Thanks, Time is critical here...Sandy
