Gyms near south bergen

I'm looking for a good gym to go to in the south Bergen area... Someplace I won't be intimidated. I just finnished my gym at the hospital. Thanks Phil

Hi Phil, I don't know about the gyms there specifically, however, when my husband joined the New York Sports Club in Westwood NJ he inquired about it for me. He was told by the manager there that they have A LOT of WLS members. He said they are not a "model factory" and have a lot of real people working out there. Perhaps there is a NYSC by you too. Phil, There are quite a few good gyms right here in the area (from what I have heard). But I don't know which one would make you feel more comfortable. The Classic is down in the Wall Street West area, there is one on Ridge Road by Hollywood Tans ( can't think of the name), Kings Court down by Lyndhurst Diner and the one over in Belleville that used to be Gold's. Most of them offer free passes for a period of time so you can check them out. Kathy

I know about The Classic. They "cater" to the corporate crowd. I used to work on Wall Street West, and the large firm I worked for had a special membership deal with them. I don't know if that's good or bad. I never actually went, but I knew a lot managers that would work out there first thing in the AM.
