Ambulance & Emergency Room

Hi Everyone, Got to go in my very first ambulance yesterday afternoon. For the past 2 days I haven't been able to keep any solid food down and have had diareah. (sp?) Then yesterday around 5pm I started getting unbelievable pain under my right rib cage. Enough so that I was bent over, could hardly talk and was sobbing. Luckily, I have the best neighbors in the world and boy did they rally to my side!!!! One took care of both my girls until my husband got home and the other one called 911 and stayed with me til I was on my way to the hospital. Now for the really silly part, know what was wrong with me???? GAS!!! Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it was only that, but what the h*ll?!?! Has anyone had something like that happen to them? I remember 2 days out after surgery, I had some terrible pains that actually made me scream and sob and now remember that the surgeon said that it was probably a big gas bubble. Well, have to admit, that was the most painful thing I have experienced in a while. Can I tell you it was worse pain than giving birth!!! If you have had any experience like this, could you please speak up so I don't feel like such a fool??? Thanks everyone, and have a great weekend!!!! The Jenster (Jen Davis)

OOOH yeah, I've had that before!!! I ate maybe 2 bites of Rita's Sugar Free Ice about a week ago and had the worst pains I've ever had in my life(and I've had blood clots in my lungs). I had gas. It felt like someone was stabbing me with a dull knife right in the lower abdomen. I thought something was stuck in my lower intestine... but it wound up just being gas. After about an hour I was able to release "the pain" and I was exhausted, but feeling MUCH better!!!!! Good luck hun! I hope you don't have it again! Peace, Michelle

Hi Jen, Yup, been there. I didn't have to go to hospital, but at the time it was close. Funny how certain foods react different in everyone. Good thing you had it checked and glad all is well. Talk to you soon, Jack

You're not alone Jen -- had that happen to me, though knew it was Gas since I had similar symptoms after my first cesarean. Take Gas X -- it helps to pass. Feels so good to fart! LOL Glad you're feeling better and it was nothing more serious. See you next Friday at the meeting. Hugs, Nannette

Jen, Glad to hear things are much better. Remind me to tell you my "gas expeience" after my second cesarean section when I see you at the meeting on Friday. A little too graphic for mailing, but funny as hell. Melita

You guys are great!!! Thanks for not laughing at me!!! Talk about a situation that hopefully won't be copied soon. Feeling really good today and seem to have my energy back, thank God. Everything really just seems to go to pot with me when I loose control of my body. The kids, house, laundry, dishes, etc. We are all a go and catching up on everything today. Thanks again for the great reassurances that I am not alone on this crazy ride. All my love, Jen
