Less than two weeks!

Good evening everyone, I am so excited that my surgery date is now less than two weeks away !!! Unfortunately my DH will not be here the week of my surgery, as he will be fighting fires in the hurricane damaged areas of MS. I'm not exactly thrilled that he won't be here, but I am proud of what he's going to be doing. Besides, my recovery will probably be easier without having to deal with someone else's moods. I've had two other surgeries in the last few years, and although he was at the hospital for both, I went through my recovery peiod alone during the day. Gotta keep a paycheck coming in somehow. It's bad enough that I'm going to be out for a couple of weeks. I don't have any paid vacation time, so we're out of luck on that one. Overall, I'm not too worried about it. I just can't wait to be on the losing side and finally feeling healthy. Have a good night everybody! Carol

hi i am in Howell i had my surgery the 6th of sept the wls was fine but i had lot of adheasians and i had a hernia with mesh and my bowell was stuck to the mesh so they had to do a bowell resection so i ended up having 2 majory surgeries but im finally home thank god the wl was fine it was just the bowell thing that has put me in the dirt....i am praying for you hon and hope everything will be easy for you...if you are close to me maby we can meet i had my surgery at Princton university Dr Brolin ,,he was great and the hospital was great too although i had complications im still glad i am on to a healthier life god bless u Bev

Thanks to you both for your replies. It's nice to know there are people nearby who understand and are so supportive. Hopefully I'll be lucky enough to meet you both. I'll be glad when my surgery is over and my recovery has begun. Carol
