Hey I finally found some locals. I'm almost 2 years post op. Down 120lbs. But I have to be honest, I feel like total crap. Tired, no energy. And during my female montly time, I feel like sleeping alllll day long. Help! What vitamins should I be taking?

Kathy, Have you had your Iron levels checked recently? I haven't had my surgery yet, but I found out last week that I am severely anemic. That's definitely part of my problem with exhaustion. Also, your B12 and thyroid hormone levels may need to be checked. Are you getting in enough protein? It really can help with the energy levels too. Just my two cents. I would definitely talk to your doctor about it. I hope you'll be feeling much better soon. Carol

Kathy sorry to hear that you are feeling like crap. I think that you should call your doctor and have yourself checked out. It sounds like you need to get back on track and maybe talk with other patinets who are as post op as you. Consider a support group, I find that by being with other patenets and discussing problems that it helps with this journey that we are on. Wishing you the best. And remember " LOSING IS WINNING !!!! Hey Kathy -- I too am two plus years out, but feel great. Taking my vitamins plus a little extra iron definately helps. Enjoying life and being involved with other WLS patients all help. Hope you can join us at the Ocean County WLS (OCWLS) Suport Group that meets monthly at Community Medical Center in Toms River. We meet the first Friday of each month in Aud A from 7-9pm. The next meeting is Friday, October 7th. It is stricly a group of post-op patients who gather to offer each other support, encouragement and exchange ideas and suggestions for our shared experiences. If you need any more info, feel free to e-mail me. Hope to see you at the next meeting. Hugs, Nannette

Sorry - I just realized I didn't answer your question on vitamins. I have been taking Vista Vitamins for bariatric patients since I was four months post op daily and love them (I hate chewables), plus an extra Iron tablet weekly.
