Hello Everyone!!!!!! It's me, The Jenster, Jen Davis. I was given a challenge tonight by a very noteworthy fellow member of our elite New Jersey board to post a messege and reply to 2 other postings. I hope all that read this will undertake the same challenge and help make our board as popular and informational as all the others!!!!! Come on guys, where are all the New Jerseyins!!??!!??(sp?) My update is this, my brother, of 27, who had a heart attack 1 1/2 weeks ago is doing much better. Thanks to all that replied with such warm support and best wishes!!! He will be flying home to Denver, CO tomorrow with his wife. It has been a great relief to all of our family that he has been able to stay here in NJ with my father and relax. He will be seeing a cardiologist when he gets home. Hopefully there will be no more unexpected hospital visits for our family in the future. Again, thanks for all the support and please do take up the challenge of posting and replying!!! All my best and hope to see everyone tomorrow down in Seaside Park for our own version of The Walk From Obesity!!!! All my love, The Jenster

Hi Jenster, I am happy for you and your family and the good news!!! I see that Dr. David Ward did your WLS. I also have enlisted him to perform my WLS (prayerfully 3/2006) Tell me your thoughts. Were you satisfied with Dr. Ward? How was the surgery recovery? etc..... feel free to email me or reply to this post. Best of luck for your future weight loss..... Bea

Hi Jenster, I am so happy to hear that your brother is doing much better and is able to return to his home. I had my 1st heart attack at 41 years old and it was very frightening. Did he have a history of heart problems? My dad died at 61 yo from heart problems and I was scared that I would die young also. I guess I wasn't frightened enough because I smoked very heavily at the time of my attack and foolishly continued to do so until my 2nd attack in 1990. Between the smoking and my weight beginning to go up, I was a sitting duck for heart attacks. At that time my cardiologist told me that if I went home and continued to smoke I would die. Now that's SCAREY !!!! Jen, I need to make more of an effort to take up the challenge of posting and replying. I have been diagnosed with adhesive capsulitis (Frozen Soulder) in my shoulder and the pain is excruciating so it sometimes just hurts to much to type. I have a mild pain med so hopefully I will be able to type a little more often. I begin physical therapy this Monday, so please, if you pray, say a prayer for me, that this works so I will not have to have surgery. Right now I have no range of motion in my right arm and shoulder so I am picking away with one hand to type. Gosh Jen, I must have needed to vent thanks for giving me a little push and thanks for listening. Please keep us posted on how your brother is doing. Hugs, Fran
