Looking for a Support Group

Hi I m 13 days post-op and a little behind in looking for a support group. I live in Brick NJ, and am willing to drive up to an hour. I know (from reading the forums) that there is one in Toms River, however I cannot make the next meeting and really want to get to one before October. Is there a directory someone can point me to, or does someone have information on a meeting that can help me out?

Hi Christopher, Not sure this will help you, it's pretty North of you. Advanced Laproscopic Surgeons have a support group open to the public in Basking Ridge, NJ. It's on the 22nd, tomorrow, at 6:30pm. It's held at The Olde Mill Inn at 225 Rt. 202. Go to the Local Resources at the top of the page and you will see it on the list. I love the Toms River group and go to it all the way from up here in Piscataway. That group is a blast and very interesting and friendly. Hope that helps you!!!! All my best, Jen Davis

Anyone wanting to know bout the Monmouth Group.... let me know? Monmouth Bariatric Surgery Support Group MONMOUTH, New Jersey Monmouth Medical Center... on Second Avenue They give you a sticker for parking so parking is free. Check in at the desk at the main entrance Fourth Thursday of every month.. at 7pm-9pm THIS Thursday It rated an.. * 8* on the Timmy 1-10 scale. Just so you know the Toms RIver OCWLS Group meets first Friday of each month 7-9pm at Community Medical Center, Aud A in Toms River. Next meeting is Friday, Oct 7th. Also, we are all getting together this Saturday, Sept 24 to do our own "Walk From Obesity" at Seaside Heights boardwalk -- meeting in front of the Sawmill Restaurant at 10am. Though not a "meeting" perhaps you can join us and join in the fun and comraderie and always, the support! Regards,

Hey Chris!!! How are you??? You had Dr. Ward?? SO did I! I LOVE that man! How are you feeling at only 13 days Post-Op? Talk to Kate Fenimore from his Somerset Medical office. I know there is a meeting on Tuesday Sept 27th in Bound Brook, NJ, at 7pm that is mostly Dr.Ward/Dr.McLean patients... but that may be too far north for you.
