I need your support!!!
Hi Everyone,
Not sure why I am posting this, guess Timmy Ray's posting helped me do this. Usually I'm very up and positive. My 27 year old younger brother just had a heart attack on Tuesday. He's in the hospital and is doing ok, but it has really hit me hard. After losing our mother 5 years ago, this has been a really stressful time for all of us. They were able to remove the clot in one of the main arteries of his heart and then put in 4 stints. He will fully recover, thank goodness, it's just been so hard for all going through such a close call. I guess I just had to get this info off my chest. I love this board and all who frequent it. Thanks for listening!! All my best to each and everyone of you!!!!

Wendy, thank you for your thoughts and prayers. It is just a really scary thing for him and our whole family, especially because he is so young. He will be coming home to Chester for a week to recooperate. He was in Boston on a business trip from his home in Denver, CO. It has just been a couple of very long days, and long car drives, but there was no way I could just be fed info over the phone. I took along beef jerky, protein bars and plenty of bottled water. I actually lost 3 lbs. in 2 days. I really didn't want something like this to break my plateau though. Thanks again, Jen
Hey Jen,
I was very sorry to hear of your brothers heart attack. What a shock at only 27. It sounds very incouraging that he was released 2 whole days early. Hopefully your future will be much more "uneventful"! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Don't forget to take care of yourself, Jen. Hope to see you on the 24th.
Fondly,
Melita

Hi Jen,
I'm so sorry to hear of your brother's heart attack. I'll be keeping him and all of your family in my prayers. Big hugs to all of you.
Carol
Hey Jen -- sorry to hear about your brother, but glad he is doing well enough to be released early. One good thing about this scare happening so young is that he got an early wake-up call that he obviously needs to make some changes in his eating habits to prevent a more serious attack later on. I'll keep him in my prayers.
Hope to see you on Saturday at the Walk.
Hugs,
Nannette

Hi Timmy,
Well, my brother is here in NJ with his wife, and will be staying for another week or so. He must pass a stress test before his cardiologist will allow him on a plane home to Denver, CO. The day he got out of the hospital in Boston he stayed at his sister-in-law's in CT. Unfortunately that night he had to be rushed to the ER in CT with chest pains. Docs didn't find anything and believe it was an anxiety attack. I believe this might happen a few more times before he knows that he's not going to die any time soon. It's good to have him home and close for now though!!! Thanks everyone who e-mailed prayers and good wishes for my family and myself. We all appreciate it and it has helped me stay grounded. All my best and looking forward to seeing everyone on the 24th for the walk in Seaside Heights!!!!!
