Rancocas Valley Surgical Associates
Hello Ruth,
My name is Ginny and I'm from Moorestown. I would like to suggest to you that you look into the Barix Clinic in Langhorne. It is'nt far, I had my surgey there a little over 3 weeks ago and it was a wonderful experience.
You can just go and check it out before going to Rancocas. They only do bariatric surgery, they have their own hospital and an amazing staff.
Just something to think about.

Ruth... boy, you look familiar... I think i've seen you before... maybe at a party!?!?!?!?!
Have you chose to ditch Dr. K or is that where he is operating??? What is going on with your 6 mo supervised diet? I just found one... if you need more info. I noticed you haven't updated the profile lately... have you completed all of your tests? What stage are you in now?
((((HUGS)))) Sipelek
Hmmmm, you look vaguely familiar...
How are you Sipele? Pretty cool huh?!
No, no, no... not ditching Dr. K... in fact, I like him, alot. I am just fed up with the administrative BS there, and am researching a couple of other facilities now. Another friend from 'our' board offered to have me go with her to one of her support group meetings. I went on Monday and was impressed. To have 2 of the 3 surgeons present at every meeting just floored me. I soooooo wish Dr. K's group did that, among other things. I haven't seen or spoken to him since my consult in January!
I have all my clearances done. Have been done since february! They keep throwing road blocks at me though... mostly administrative. I am now just waiting on the report from cardio on my heart cath to complete me for the local office. I see my pcp next week for (hopefully) the last of the diet documentation, to complete me for their insurance office. I have already been denied once by my insurance company. Hopefully this will be the end of it for me... unless they throw another hurdle at me... or my insurance denies me again. Then it will be and time for sure!
See you at the next party!
Huggs,
Ruth
Hey Ruth,
I tried them out had a consultation with Dr Greenbaum and did not feel comfortable at all . He made you go into a room with other potential candidates for surgery and gave us a run down of the procedures. He also informed us that we would have to pay a fee of $750.00 to be a member of his support group, which is not payable by the insurance company, before he would perform surgery. I also did not like the fact that he was so nonchalant about death after or during surgery like if you died on the table it would be somehow your fault. he was not very warm at all. And then to top it off he has deaths under his belt on our memorial page on this website so I ditched him and found another surgeon. This is just my opinion ONLY. Good luck.
