Monmouth NJ Support Group

Hey everyone I got this call from Jack M, (a member of the awesome Toms River Support group) on Weds night.. and he says... he says to me... "Timmy.. there is a support group at the Monmouth Medical Center in Monmmouth/Long Branch NJ.. can you come?" I went. I saw I enjoyed and participated And now Im reporting back like a eager Junior Woodchuck Journalism Badge seeker... So.. off I ventured into the wild blue Jersey Shore. The group has about 50 percent post surgery people... and about 50 percent people who are scheduled or seriously investigating. They had a surgeon there.. and a psychologist.. and a dietician. The meeting went well... good interaction.. and they had protein bar samples. Yum ! It was a good group. There were a LOT of Lap banders there... which added a varied flavor. About 30 people... it was a good group. (but I still swear by the Toms River group.. neaner neaner neaner) SO.. Anyone wanting to know bout the Monmouth Group.... let me know? Monmouth Bariatric Surgery Support Group Monmouth Medical Center... on Second Avenue They give you a sticker for parking so parking is free. Fourth Thursday of every month.. at 7pm-9pm It rated an.. * 8* on the Timmy 1-10 scale. Anyone need a ride to the Toms River group next week? Godspeed all.. shalom and hugs to all

Thanks for the info Timmy! I work right in Ocean Township and live in Lake Como (formerly and better known as South Belmar!), so that's definitely close to me (although I'll have you know that I can't wait to attend my first Toms River meeting!). Hi Dee! You got it. I will gladly remind you.... if it wasnt for my calendar I would be a lost woodchuck. *solemn nod*. I am excited .. that you are thinking of attending the Toms River group... its a fun group, last time we had about 12 people.. one lap bander.... a couple of pre surgery people.... and a slew of RNY people both laproscopic and open... its a good group. : ) I hope you can attend the thingy .. Yes Tim, Toms River is IN Ocean County -- in fact it is the County Seat -- we have the Ocean County Jail and Court right here in downtown Toms River! LOL See you Friday - thanks for publicizing the Toms River group -- new blood is always welcome! Hugs, Nannette
